Blog 5: My future job

 I would like to have a job that is strongly linked to nature, although I am also very attracted to urban planning, in which I think it is very important to insert nature.

I have always imagined myself working in the field, this type of work requires me to be constantly on the street, but it also requires fundamental hours of office work.

I have never been very greedy about the salary, although it is not bad for anyone to have more money, but I am happy with the average salary that skilled workers receive. For my profession I calculate that it would be between 700000 and 1000000 CLP.

As I said before I am not very greedy, so I do not expect to travel constantly, but if I have the opportunity I would like to get to know other cities and the projects that are developed in them.

I study Social Work and I have been interested in interventions and projects related to housing, urbanism and environmental care. I have studied the first two areas in my internships and in my elective courses, including research with the Minvu, and this semester I have a couple of courses in the faculty of architecture and urbanism. About the environment this has been partially included in university subjects, but I have never taken courses in the faculties of science or forestry, so I have approached this area from informal study and my own motivations.

 We have stayed at home most of the quarantine. There are four of us in my household and in the last two years only I have worked sporadically. Since I was a child we have always wanted to travel to Argentina

  I would like to travel to Argentina, since part of my maternal family comes from there, which would be very useful for me to travel around the country and have a longer vacation. Ever since I was little we have had the idea of traveling with my family, but we have never made it happen. They are a country generally known for having a high inflation economy and having been intervened by IMF loans. But they have many good things, like having cheaper books or a great gastronomic heritage in the preparation of pasta, because of the Italian immigrants. As I said before I would like to be able to make several trips to the interior of Argentina when we go there. Our family lives in Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata, so we could tour both cities without spending a lot of money on hotels. We would also like to be able to visit natural places like the pampas and travel to the north of the country to visit the Iguazu Falls, which are located on the border between Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil....

Blog 6, My possible future postgraduate studies

 I would like to do a postgraduate study to go deeper in the professional field in which I want to work in the future. I search for it on the page of the faculty of architecture and urban planning, because i would like to study. But some diploma, more than a magister, because I have passed a lot of years in the university and I´m more focused on go out to work after those years, instead of continuing to study immediately.  I´m interesed on different current courses. Two diplomas, and three magister looks interesting for me. The diplomas are "Diploma of postgraduate on Territory and public policies: co-creation of value and social production of the space" or "Landscaping and Green Infrastructure". On the other part, in the magister, I would like to study "Urbanism", Residential Habit" or "Territory, space and society". I think that i would continue studing on the same university that I am now.
